The morning haze in the streets lends a peaceful atmosphere to the journey, before the city fully wakes and the tropical heat strikes. Such a quiet start to the day.

Rickshaws are quite popular in this part of Mexico. They are cheaper than a car – no gas needed – and more comfortable than a bike when it comes to taking the kids to school in the morning. And I suspect it is more fun for the children, too – that is, if it is not raining.
