Burnt by the Sun is a Russian Oscar-winning film that has been sitting on my "to-watch" list for a long time. I am not even sure what the story is about, but looking at this local Mexican, the title just felt right.

He is resting in the sand, using an old boat for shade. His pose almost reminds me of a Renaissance painting – barefoot, wearing simple clothes and a worn-out t-shirt. For a second, the cross on his chest concerned me, as it’s not exactly how a lifeguard should look, but Cruz Azul is just a local football club. Maybe they won that day.
