60 degrees and a few

This place probably doesn't look all that unusual. Just some coastline on an overcast day – there must be miles and miles of these ubiquitous shores in places like Canada or any of those northern countries. But it is unusual to me. It is – at least for now – the furthest north I have ever been. The end of the year isn't the best time for traveling in these Nordic countries. The sun didn't rise until after 8 AM, and by three in the afternoon, it was pitch-black again. The winter landscape is also mostly hidden beneath all that snow. On top of that, the freezing cold complicates everything. I suggested going to this spot because the map marked it as a tourist attraction – the Albert Engström studio. I had no idea who he was back then, and even today, I only vaguely know. The whole trip wasn't even about photography that much. I didn't even experience anything extraordinary there. Yet, it's something that stuck in my memory anyway. Places remarkable for nothing, just like in this photo.
