I have no idea what kind of place this is. Just somewhere in the city – Google Earth says it is called Oberbaumbrücke. So, how did I end up there? An Away Day with colleagues from work – their interests are mostly German bars and German clubs... I prefer to just wander on foot through foreign cities and look around. And if something catches my eye...

It is nothing extraordinary – just an ordinary place – a thousand people walk through this underpass every day. But I was there only once, and likely for the last time in my life. In a way, that is why this photo holds more value for me than for the thousand who see it every day, or for the other thousand who will never see it at all.
