Comic Book Perspectives: Coming Home
There is a certain melancholy to it. Coming back home in the evenings – it always reminds me of my childhood, returning from a school field trip at the end of the year. Feeling tired (sunburned, probably), hungry because sweets are the only food left, and the road is long and monotonous. Watching the characters on the sidewalk makes me think of their lives. They will be home in a few minutes to watch cartoons, eat their evening meals (which you can smell from here!), and finish their day in a warm bed. It was a hot day, but it looks like a storm is coming. I am still on my way and – that is exactly how it is supposed to be. It does not matter if I arrive late at night; the holidays start tomorrow anyway.
