The Nifty Fifty
Night streets of Progreso.
There is something surreal about this frame; I feel like even the most ordinary snapshots gain an unexpected depth here. It is about seeing things the naked eye usually ignores, capturing them through a dreamlike, cinematic haze. I often think about this while traveling on a night bus without my glasses – car lights blurring into a kaleidoscope of colors. It is a strange, out-of-focus world, yet through the viewfinder, it feels even more vivid. A story told in colors, revealed only to the nearsighted. Or to photographers.
