I still have problem with asking for permission when shooting on streets. You know - these photographic faces usualy go along with not so ordinary type of people. People You can expect anything from. At least I have that feeling...
In Mexico it's different story. Everything and everybody is so relaxed, so I asked for permission with every portrait, no matter my spanish is not that good. Some just greet back, smile and nod, other start talking like they know You for a long time and some just don't care. Like this man. He was sitting like this 5 mins before and after I took his picture. Actually - there was nothing much to do in that heat...
