They're saying You need "eye" for a good picture. To find unusual scene in the world around. I don't know if You can learn this but - sometimes I just go by the rules. Something contrasty, some nice composition element and - well it's supposed to work, and the viewer will find the picture pleasing. I got the fact the S-Curve is "most beautiful" composition element from Tips from the top floor podcast. Chris said You can't go wrong when shooting the S-Curve. Well, I don't know but it might be true because - I found this picture somehow interesting...
